SOIL Featured in Global Citizen

At SOIL, we are motivated by the belief that the most pervasive human rights abuse globally is poverty. That’s why we are so committed to our work in Haiti, the poorest and most environmentally degraded country in the Western Hemisphere. Despite fifty years of receiving considerable aid, Haiti has become poorer every year, further exacerbating the country’s vulnerability to climate change.

This past week SOIL was featured in an article by Global Citizen, an international education and advocacy organization working to catalyze the movement to end extreme poverty. The article highlights SOIL’s full cycle sanitation solution in Haiti from its early days to now, as well as our hopes for the future in creating climate resilient solutions for vulnerable populations.
